About Us

Hunton-Randolph Community Center is a non-profit agency dedicated to serving the needs of our community and governed by the Board of Directors as listed below. We encourage all community members to stop by and visit our facility to gain first-hand knowledge about the programs, activities, and events we offer throughout the year. If you are interested in supporting our efforts, then please see the ways to help section at the bottom of this web page.

Community

Hunton-Randolph is a non-profit organization established to provide educational, enrichment, and recreational programs to families living in the great Lynchburg community. Serving true as a community center the HRCC provides

• Free access to programs and facilities for area families

• Fundraising events

• Facility rentals to groups for private events/meeting

• Activities for all age groups

Youth

Children of all ages receive encouragement and support to grow academically and socially through the programs offered at the center which include:

• Mentoring for academic success

• Evening meals and snacks six days a week

• Computer lab activities

• Music, art, and dance classes • Seasonal events

Education

Academic success is crucial for success in life and participation in extracurricular activities. To help each student reach their maximum potential, HRCC offers

• After school tutorial programs with mentors

• Reading centered activities • College Focus programs

Athletics

Numerous studies have shown that children who participate in educational and sports activities are more likely to be successful as adults. As a result, HRCC strives to provide this advantage to area youth through

• An award winning football program (AAU - Amateur Athletic Union)

• Track

•Basketball

• Pep squad

• Exercise classes

Meal Program

Evening meal and snack provided 5 days a week
